Contribution to Society

The company supports the communities in and around where the various farms are located.

• In love, care, support and appreciation of the loyalty, commitment, and hard work of the staff, a sick bay was established to cater for the physical wellbeing of the workers. The facility operates from a three room apartment comprising of a consulting room, male and female detention rooms. The sole aim is to provide basic emergency care to the workers and their immediate families that reside in company’s residential facilities. The facility is managed by a qualified resident doctor and two equally qualified nurses. Complicated cases are referred to Manhyia Hospital.
• Donated electric poles and connected Nwamase village to the national grid.
• Bore holes with good drinking water provided to the communities where farms are located.
• Kwabre District Assembly was assisted by the company to construct access roads to some rural communities.
• Provided employment for the youth around the catchments area.
• Contributes tremendously to the Otumfuo’s Education Fund, to support brilliant but needy students
• The company personally support over Hundred
• (100) brilliant but needy children financially to further their education (about GH¢40,000) Ghana cedis- annually
• Akate Farms collaborates very well with the department and staff of Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
• Support of MOFA annually in the celebration of the National Farmers Day.
• Support Agricultural Students on attachment and service from Tertiary Institutions.
