From a humble beginning of one thousand five hundred layers and eight hundred broilers, Akate Farms and Trading Company Limited (AFTCL) has now over four thousand layers and ten thousand broilers.
With hard work and determination, other agricultural sectors have been added. These include rearing hoof ruminants – cattle and sheep, as well as fish farming, plantain, mango and pineapple cultivation.
Akate Farms has developed into a most notable the biggest and innovative poultry industry in Ghana. The main branch is located in the forest belt of Ghana (west Africa), precisely at dotea suburb in Kumasi (Ashanti Region) on the Antoa road.
